What is a pilates reformer?
The Pilates Reformer is one of our most versatile apparatus contributing to the lean, toned muscular aesthetic we think of as a Pilates body. A moving carriage glides over two tracks with springs attached to handles or foot straps for resistance. This configuration allows for the maximum of versatility including seated, supine, kneeling and standing workout positions.
What should I wear during my workout?
The wearing of fitted clothing is strongly recommended. This allows for better freedom of movement and improves the instructor's ability to evaluate posture and assess one’s body alignment.
How many times per week is training recommended?
It is recommended that you engage in Pilates and fitness instruction a minimum of two times per week up to a maximum of four sessions per week. If different types of exercise are combined, like cardiovascular, Posturology or MAT -- Muscle Activation Techniques sessions, this number can be higher.
What happens if I miss a class?
We maintain a 24-hour cancellation policy. For changes or cancellations without penalty, call or email us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
How long before I start to see results?
Generally, clients experience positive changes like improved endurance, muscle control, coordination and balance in just 2-4 weeks. In 4-8 weeks, increases in muscle tone and reductions in body fat levels may be noticeable. Results will vary, as no two individuals are alike and variables such as genetics, diet, lifestyle and stress levels and can all play a part in one's results.
